The course played well considering the amount of rain we had on Saturday.

Good scores were recorded all round.

The winner of the event was Garrie Taylor who came in with a score of 42 Points.

Brad Callier was runner up with 42 points also.

Next Sunday we will be running a four ball, best ball Stableford event.

Time sheets will be on the notice board at the Katherine Pro Golf Shop.

Shotgun start 7.30am for an 8am start.

The president has finalised arrangements for the 2011 presentation day which will be conducted on Sunday, December 4.

Sponsors will be invited to compete with members in an 18 hole three-person ambrose event.

This will be followed by a three-course luncheon and the presentation of the 2011 trophies.

The event will get underway with a shotgun start at 8am allowing members to partake of the hearty value breakfast that is always available in the Clubhouse dining room on Sunday mornings.

The above reprogramming has resulted in the monthly medal for December being placed back a week.

Last Wednesday golfers competed in the Gallop Thru Time five-hole event.

Players interested in competing in this event should be at the club ready to play at 4pm on a Wednesday.

The Drop Out Ambrose competition is now in its fifth week.

The Katherine teams standings are currently being led by the Sinnot, Craft and Porter team, the Rich King and Arthur team are running a close second with the NT Peelers needing to make up a bit of lost ground.

It is very encouraging to see a number of juniors getting involved both through the clinics or playing with parents.

We are looking at arranging some junior events in the future so keep watching this space for details.

The NT golf pennants season is now underway, both Jabiru and Katherine are having some great early success.

Pennants will be played at Katherine on the weekend of December 10 and 11.

The course will be closed from 11am, December 10, until 2.30pm, December 11.

We are scheduling a bit of a competition for members on the afternoon of Friday, December 9. More on the competition next week.
