The newly opened Cicada Lodge at Nitmiluk National Park offers accommodation to an exclusive and previously uncatered market at its stylish 18-room lodge.
Likewise, Godinymayin Yijard Rivers Arts and Culture Centre played host to Nashville based three piece blues band Go Jane Go, last weekend.
World-class musicians and songwriters, the band was invited to perform at the Bryon Bay Bluesfest over the Easter long weekend.
On stage they said they were not sure what they would be coming to, but were impressed to find a “world class venue” in Godinymayin Yijard Rivers Arts and Culture Centre.
On Saturday the centre opened Yulyurlu Lorna Fencer Napurrurla art exhibition, on its final show of a national tour which opened in Darwin in August 2011.
Darwin-based curator Margie West said she was excited to have brought the exhibition to Katherine, and she said it was unlikely this exhibition would have been presented here without the top notch venue.
