For the last three years he has been an irreplaceable member to the Katherine Camels in all age groups.
Not only is he treasurer, recently appointed public officer and committee member, he also is there to help all the teams at training sessions and on game days.
And he still manages to fulfill water resources, occasional runner and general ‘Go to Man’ duties.
“Without Mook’s endless support and assistance, many of these clubs would be in dire straits,” fellow football supporter and friend, Craig 'Agro' Blair, said.
“A huge cheer to Mook from all involved at the Katherine Camels - without Mook life at the Camels would be a challenge.
“Not only with the AFL and soccer, he is dedicated to his wife Anna and two teenage children Tara and Sam.
“With teenage kids, I often wonder how he has the time for us at the Camels, he even has to wait for Tara and Sam to finish with their homework and teeny-bopper stuff on the computer before he can do his write ups and administration emails for the clubs.
Former co-worker Pam Tupper said Mook is “definitely is a man of many talents and he has an air of calmness when all around him may be very chaotic.”
“He often volunteers on his own time and we would often find him doing the heavy work or just helping people out in the office,” Ms Tupper said.
“Wherever he sees that something needs to be done, he’d be there doing it,” she said.
“Mook is the silent ‘Can Do Man’.
“Our community thrives with good people like Mook who help out in many ways and ask no thanks, but do it for the sheer pleasure of having a great community.”
