Week 7
THE sixth week of my challenge has been a bit difficult. I attended a few parties on the weekend and had to practise my will-power more than I liked.
It was especially hard to hold back from a double chocolate mud-cake decorated with what looked like planks of white chocolate, chocolate covered strawberries and chocolate truffles.
I took a photo of this cake and plan on ordering one for the day I finish my challenge.
I have been told that by now I should be rid of the cravings and not even be thinking about junk much anymore.
Well, the novelty of the challenge has pretty much worn off and sometimes I find myself wishing that I had never started it.
However, I then try to focus on the cause and remind myself that Carers Australia will really benefit from all of this.
It’s just so hard to resist the junk sometimes (but for the record, I haven’t slipped up yet).
On Friday this week, June 14, Westpac will be holding a sausage sizzle to raise money for my challenge.
Please feel free to pop down to the bank and support them in their efforts to raise money.
They will be selling food and some drinks between the hours of 11.30am to 2.30pm.
Thank you Westpac.
A few more fundraisers are being planned and will be announced soon.
Please watch this space for events to attend.
And please remember that donations can be made through my website.
Every little bit counts.
