I WOULD like to begin this week’s column by saying a huge thank you to the Katherine Westpac Branch for organising and running a sausage sizzle on Friday to raise money for my challenge.
They made $304.65.
What a fantastic, friendly bunch of people they are.
I’d also like to thank those who donated and bought a sausage sandwich.
For the record, I was very good and didn’t eat any, but I have to admit that my kids did.
Thanks again to the Katherine Westpac Branch (pictured) for donating your time and effort.
You are such a generous crew.
Well, I am finding the ‘no junk food’ to be a little difficult.
I have substituted junk for fruit, herbal tea and various healthy things, but often when I see junk, I just want it.
I am going to focus on a few more upcoming fundraising events to try and get enthusiastic about the challenge again.
It was all exciting a few weeks ago but the novelty is over now.
With more than 300 days to go, I am going to have to find some more ways to stay motivated.
But one thing is for sure - no matter how tempting the junk gets, I am determined not fail this challenge.
