The facility’s field is set to be transformed for the event, which will begin at 5pm and run until midnight as participants raise funds to battle cancer.
With 12 teams registered, Energizers team captain Jenny Mackie said the event would be a fun way to raise awareness about a serious issue that had impacted many in the community.
“It’ll be my fifth year and it’s brilliant, absolutely brilliant,” she said.
“It’s like a party atmosphere because everyone gets involved.”
Cancer Council NT is aiming to raise $20,000 during the event and Ray White team captain Lauren Reed said her line-up was chomping at the bit to hit the circuit.
“They are definitely looking forward to it,” she said.
Cancer Council NT chief executive officer Kathy Sadler praised the community for showing so much enthusiasm for the event.
“We want to thank the Katherine community for their dedication toward the fight to beat cancer,” she said.
