The roller derby outfit has gone from strength to strength in Katherine and will thrill the crowd with a themed exhibition bout between the Grim Reapers and the Schoolgirls dubbed Roll-O-Ween.
Katherine Derby Dolls spokeswoman Roxanne Young said the event was shaping up as a fun-filled night and urged curious Katherine residents to check out the action.
“Every year we put on a home bout,” she said.
“We love to do this around Halloween, as we all love any excuse to dress up and there isn’t as much on in town around this time.
“This year we have our two teams, the Grim Reapers and the Schoolgirls.”
While roller derby might be relatively unknown to many sporting fans, Mrs Young said it had something for everyone.
“It’s the thrill of the unexpected,” she said.
Doors to the arena open at 7pm, with the action to heat up from 7.30pm.
Admission is $10 and children under 12 can watch the skating action for free.
