In a game that went right down to the wire, Eastside was able to hold off a spirited opponent to chalk up a 4.9 (33) to 4.3 (27) win to keep its undefeated streak intact.
The Camels held the lead for the first half of the game and did not concede a goal to the potent Eastside forward line, thanks to a solid backline led by Jens Amberg-Pederson and Felix Pritchard.
At half-time, the Camels led 3.1 (19) to 0.7 (7), with Warren Rankin the most dangerous first half player for the double blues as he created chances but was let down by inaccuracy.
In the second half, despite ill-discipline sending three Eastside players to the sideline, the remaining 17 players got back into the contest via goals to Rodney Newman, Kevin Turner and Jarred Issac.
The Camels could not keep up the pressure to hold the score line level, even with the best efforts of Jess Buderick, Matt Jackson and Jeb Crowder.
In a frantic last quarter, key back man Tom Watego stood up for Eastside to repel the Camels time and time again, and help his team to a narrow victory.
