The competition was a hit in 2014 and KFC president Michael Lane said a new team would throw a fresh element into the mix.
“It has been a short break for the club and we are about to fire up for another season of senior mixed seven-a-side and our junior football,” he said.
“In the seven-a-side, we’ve got newcomers We Can be Heroes taking on Unathletic Midriff, who finished just outside the top four last year, while 2014 premiers Good Enuff will be looking to defend their title when they take on the hardworking Spartans.”
The draw for the 7pm games will be announced on the night.
Players looking for a team are encouraged to register, as there are places available, and Mr Lane said late team nominations would be accepted.
The KFC junior season will begin on May 9, with the club hosting a registration and free play day on April 18, from 9am until 11am.
“Katherine FC plays a mixed gender competition across all junior age groups and encourages participation for all players,” Mr Lane explained.
