On June 7, a 1998 Toyota LandCruiser utility and a 3.59-metre Stacer Proline aluminium boat on a trailer were discovered behind Slingshot Haulage on the Victoria Highway.
The four-wheel driver was parked behind a tree and police believe the boat trailer was left there overnight, as it was not noticed by the business owner on June 6.
Superintendent Megan Rowe said the four-wheel drive had not been registered since 2004, adding that the boat and trailer had never been registered.
“The boat and boat trailer are in a new condition, and there is nothing to suggest that a motor has even been attached to the boat,” she said.
“No owner is able to be established at this point, they are not reported stolen and no one has come forward to claim them.”
Anyone with information about the owners of the four-wheel drive and the boat trailer is urged to contact police on 131 444.
