In the first game, reigning premiers Eastside Football Club decimated the visiting Beswick Bears after the double blues grabbed control of the clash in the second quarter.
By the main break, Eastside was four goals up, with Marcus Hamilton booting three majors.
After the main break, Eastside continued to put its foot down, and run and carry the ball to the waiting forwards.
Jade Hamilton snagged two third-quarter majors, ably assisted by Josiah Farrer and the experienced Willie Kossack.
Josh Blitner ran all day and provided numerous forward thrusts for the Bears, while the diminutive Jacob Doctor took some great marks for someone of his stature.
When the full-time siren sounded, Eastside had posted a remarkable win by more than 13 goals to remind the competition why its name is etched on the 2014 premiership silverware.
The Tindal Magpies had no answer for the rejuvenated Kalano Bombers in the second clash as the Bombers made the game their own, at one stage booting 16 straight goals.
The Clyden brothers were everywhere for the Bombers, as was Maxwell Gillett, who bagged six majors in a classy act of straight kicking.
The Arnhem Crows were too strong under lights for the Katherine Camels in the final match of the round and claimed a 37-point victory.
