NORTHERN Territory police have charged two males with drug possession following roadside arrest north of Pine Creek on August 24.

Detective Acting Superintendent Clint Sims said at about 2pm on Monday, police received reports of a silver Toyota Camry driving erratically near the town.
When the vehicle was intercepted, it was about 57 kilometres south of Adelaide River.
“Upon a search of the vehicle police located 36 kilograms of cannabis in the boot,” Detective Acting Superintendent Sims said.
“Police will allege the drugs were destined for remote communities.”
Two males – aged 21 and 23 – were charged with possessing and supplying a commercial quantity of cannabis.
The appeared in Darwin Magistrates Court yesterday.
“Police will also allege the vehicle was involved in a collision with another motorist earlier that morning,” Detective Acting Superintendent Sims said.
Police are continuing their investigations.
