During a bumper 48 hours, Katherine Netball Association and Nightcliff Netball Club teams squared off in open, under-17 and U15 divisions, with the local senior line-up going down in a two-goal encounter in the final game on May 1.
KNA president Lauren Chapman said the matches represented a fitting end to the clinic and a range of development sessions for junior players held throughout the weekend.
“It started off with and umpire development clinic on Saturday morning, run by Lynda Brodie,” she explained.
“Some plans have been discussed for further umpire development throughout the season.
“Twenty-three players plus coaching staff from NIghtcliff Netball Club travelled to Katherine for the weekend.
“Nightcliff are keen to lock in the same date for next year to make it bigger and better.”
