Frack-Free NT joined protesters all around Australia by setting up highway demonstrations along the Stuart Highway with at least six stations set up around Katherine.

Groups were set up at various points along Katherine region at the Edith Farms, Stuart Estate turn off and Kalano turn-offs on Saturday June 25 from mid morning to early afternoon.
The groups were at major intersections to allow locals and tourists the opportunity to honk and show support or pull over and have a chat if they wanted to.
Don’t Frack Katherine spokeswoman Charmaine Roth said there was almost 400 'toots' of support counted at the 'Katherine' sign on the northern side of town along with hundreds of waves and thumbs up from those going past.
“Numerous people stopped to chat and participate in the survey, at the Edith Farms turn off,” she said.
“There is a growing concern about water, and not just from the threat of offshore oil and gas.”
Ms Roth said there were a number of factors, and she thinks people are realising that future water security is not guaranteed with current government policies, and with declining rainfall patterns.
“The day had a really positive outcome, right the way across the NT,” she said.
“We hope when people head to the polls they remember their water concerns, and make their vote based on the future our young Territorians will be inheriting.”
