Greg Bain’s Blues wrote themselves into the record books in front of a packed out Nitmiluk Oval as they become the second team in BRFL history to achieve four premierships in a row.
Kalano struggled to keep possession in the first quarter as a clinical Eastside jumped out to a 48-2 lead and asserted their dominance on the game.
Despite the Bombers showing glimpses of their trademark attack the control of Eastside was too good again in the second quarter as they extended their lead 77-4.
Gary Manbulloo’s Bombers finally kicked their first goal in the third quarter thanks to a freakish snap from Joseph Henry on the run.
However, Eastside kept the scoreboard ticking over as they kicked goal after goal to finish the third quarter with a 110-18 lead.
The fourth quarter saw more of the same as the Blues sealed their position as one of the most dominant teams in BRFL history with a final scoreline of 137-33.
A relieved a Eastside coach Greg Bain said his team showed their class against a quality a Bombers outfit.
“I was nervous before this, I knew we were going to have to plan the game out really well and stay focused,” he said.
“(Kalano) have had a great season and they’re coming, they’ll be back harder and faster next season.”
