Drug couple charged
A 42-year-old female and a 40-year-old male from Darwin were arrested on drug offences in Katherine on Sunday.

During a vehicle stop, a large quantity of drugs and alcohol were seized.
Police said the street value of the contraband was $14,000.
Police believe the substances were destined for remote communities.

TENNANT CREEK FIRE
Northern Territory Police are investigating a suspicious structure fire in Tennant Creek.
Senior Sergeant Don Eaton said Northern Territory Fire and Rescue crews from Tennant Creek responded to the fire at a business premises on Paterson Street just after 4am today.
“Upon arrival, crews observed fire and a large amount of smoke coming from the front of the premises.
“Entry was forced into the building and crews were able to contain the fire to the front showroom area, however the entire building suffered substantial smoke damage.”
Police are calling for anyone with any information or anyone who was in the area at the time to contact them on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
STOLEN CAR
Alleged offenders in Katherine, were disturbed during a residential break-in early Monday morning.
Once disrupted, the offenders fled the scene with a number of items including a set of car keys.
A 2012 red Toyota Yaris was stolen with Northern Territory licence plate CC13DW, and is still missing.
