More than 100 students from Katherine took part in a sporting event with the Hawks stars at the YMCA.
Jonathon Ceglar, Jonathan O'Rourke, Kaiden Brand and Daniel Howe visited from the Hawthorne Hawks,. based in Melbourne.
Life Education NT chair Bec Forrest, said the Life Ed team and its mascot, Happy Healthy Harold, have travelled from Bulman to Barunga, Dundee to Darwin, down to The Alice and all over the Territory to visit more than 150,000 Territory kids since its NT inception in 1987.
“We’re so proud to be celebrating 30 years and last year we reached more than 16,500 Territory kids, including travel to 20 remote communities to educate kids about drugs, alcohol and healthy living in a fun and interactive way,” she said.
“Having the Hawthorn Football club support our initiative and join in a fun event involving students from Katherine and surrounding areas is a great way to “kick off” our 30 year celebrations.
