RAAF Base Tindal will be “buzzing” tomorrow with excitement as RAAF Jets fly over the oval at 6.30pm to signal the first bounce between Tindal Magpies and Katherine Camels.
The last post will be played before the start of play along with pre-match addresses.
Auskick will be running from 5-6pm.
A BBQ, beverages, and raffles will keep the spectators happy from 6pm and throughout the duration of the evening.
The Anzac Clash will be a stand-alone game this week, with other matches in the weekly competition starting on May 5 at Nitmiluk Oval (see the draw).
This Saturday, the annual Umpires’ Carnival will be a full day of football at Nitmiluk Oval, with teams coming in from all over the greater Katherine region to participate.
The strong expression of interest from clubs to participate in NT BRFL competitions has inspired three formats to be delivered, with weekly, fortnightly, and carnival competitions confirmed.
Six teams will be competing in each of the weekly and fortnightly competitions, while the carnival competition is open to entries on a month-by-month basis, and is projected to attract teams from beyond the Katherine region, while also giving additional opportunities to local players.
AFL NT is working towards strong, sustainable competitions with structured pathways for players, and the NT BRFL will facilitate this.
The three formats offered are designed to maximise the opportunities for players, and cater to the varying circumstances in the Katherine and broader region.
