Damian Syred’s Circus Royale will be staging shows at the Katherine Showgrounds from June 23, 24 and 25.
The Friday show will be at 7.30pm with a matinee at 4pm on Saturday and the evening show at 7.30pm with a Sunday morning show at 10.
The Katherine Times has five family passes to giveaway for the circus.
The circus features an all-new, sensational, two-hour program, featuring 12 incredible acts representing the best of international circus stars.
Circus Royale performs under a spectacular Big Top tent measuring 36 metres in circumference. It is supported by two massive king poles which are each 12 metres high.
The Big Top has the latest LED lighting, cutting edge sound, 650 individual chair seats and a traditional European atmosphere where audiences are never more than 11 metres from the action.
The current critically acclaimed all Australian tour includes young circus stars plus daredevils from Mexico as well as Europe’s top young circus artists, all handpicked by West Australia born circus owner, Damian Syred.
Daredevil siblings Hugo, Brandon and Geraldine Fernandez Mexican stunt riders who earn their living by riding in the Globe of Death, the closing act in the Circus Royale performance.
The Globe of Death starts off with one rider, usually Brandon or Hugo, who shows off his skills riding a motorbike around inside a steel spherical cage, before he is joined by his brother to perform more complex tricks.
Geraldine joins her brothers as the third rider, and together they perform death-defying stunts that make crowds hold their breath till the end.
For the past 46 years, Circus Royale has entertained Australia staging performances in Northern Australia every fourth year.
