Held in court 11 of the NT Supreme Court, the sessions will commence at 8.30am and can also be viewed online.
The Commission will hear from experts on child protection issues as well as alternatives for child protection and detention including subject matter experts in juvenile justice, psychiatry, legal process, funding programs and recent developments in child protection.
Witnesses include Prime Minister and Cabinet assistant secretary of Indigenous affairs Andrew Tongue and Department of Social Services families group manager Ros Baxter.
USA director of the Juvenile Justice Strategy at the Annie E Casey Foundation Nate Balis will also be appearing.
