Katherine Rugby Union president Marc Garnder said the boys will travel to the Gold Coast to play against Australian, New Zealand and United Kingdom teams.
“They’ll be participating in the Australian Schoolboys Rugby Championships down there, under 18s age group, on the 6 to 9 July,” Mr Gardner said.
“The six young men chosen are Terry Gillett, Matthew Hudson, Michael Taylor, Adrian Rosas, William Ashley and Luke Clifford from Katherine.
“I’m very proud of the strength in junior rugby union in Katherine and the fact that we have six very talented young men representing the Territory at such a prestigious event,” he said.
Mr Gardner said it was the greatest number of Katherine players ever chosen in the Northern Territory Schoolboys Rugby squad.

“We wish them every success in their games and hope they enjoy the time representing their Territory and Katherine,” he said.
Katherine Rugby Union is also looking to start union competitions again from mid-October with a greater junior rugby union program available to the young people of Katherine to participate in during the wet season.
“We greatly appreciate the support of the Northern Territory Rugby Union and the Katherine Rugby Union committee and volunteers who organise the upcoming rugby season,” Mr Gardner said.
“Katherine Rugby Union gratefully received a donation of rugby balls made by the ‘Friends of Rugby’ who fundraise to support junior rugby union in the Northern Territory.
“The balls were presented at the Katherine Krocs Golden Oldies Game against the Stray Cats from Darwin.”
