Lovers, fairies and mischief will conspire under a Katherine sky when the Melbourne City Ballet perform here on Friday.
According to the Godinymayin Culture Centre website tickets are now sold out.
The company scheduled a second show in Townsville last week after selling out there as well.
The company will be treating locals to a Shakespeare classic, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, at the Godinymayin Culture Centre, before performing the same show in Tennant Creek on Sunday.
Following on from their tour of Romeo and Juliet in 2016, audiences in Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland and Northern Territory will once again be exposed to a night of dance.
Melbourne City Ballet artistic director Michael Pappalardo is confident the production will be received well.
“We have a real commitment to providing first-class performances to as many regional and remote areas of Australia as possible,” Mr Pappalardo said.
Callum Gugger and Olivia Grieve from the Melbourne City Ballet company held a workshop in Katherine last month to choose which young aspiring ballet dancers would get the chance to perform with the company on Friday night.
