Sydeny performer Miriam Lieberman seamlessly blends African influences with blues-infused melodies and soaring vocal harmonies.
Ms Lieberman will be performing three 25 minute performances 15 metres below the ground in the limestone Cutta Cutta Caves.
The audience will hear her perform on the African kora, a west-African harp with a beautiful, evocative tone.
Formed millions of years ago the Cutta Cutta Caves system is home to a variety of native wildlife and is rich in Indigenous culture and modern European history.
Cutta Cutta Caves Nature Park is located 27km south of Katherine and is easily accessible from the Stuart Highway.
Ms Lieberman draws her influences from far and wide- she‘s given concerts in West African cities and peace festivals in Japan, she studied and performed with Mali’s multi grammy award winning kora player Toumani Diabate and has performed from the South of Mexico, to Ecuador to Istanbul and far and wide in her home Australia.
Miriam is joined by Yoris Wilson on the double bass and Netanela Mizrahi on the violin.
