Defence under secretary Steve Grzeskowiak will be in Katherine tomorrow and we have the opportunity to put your questions direct to him.
Many people have indicated they are not happy with the one-on-format being adopted by defence with this week’s update on chemical contamination.
So let us ask the questions for you.
We have already seen in comments made on our recent stories some questions we already plan to raise.
Will there be any compensation for Katherine land and home owners who have suffered a devaluation in the value of their properties?
Will defence extend their clean drinking water offer to not just those on bores surrounding the base but concerned residents drinking partially contaminated water in the town?
What plans does defence have to support the construction of a treatment plant to clean PFAS from all of the town’s water, not just a small percentage?
Why the reluctance to offer blood testing?
How long will this problem persist?
But we are sure you have your own worries, just reply in a comment and we’ll take them to them and provide the answers here as well.
