The IMPACT youth hub will include virtual reality headsets, Makey Makey program, 3D printer, 360 degree cameras.
Rise Katherine will be unveiling the space on November 16.
“Impact Youth Hub is a virtual space where young people aged 14 to 24 are provided a flexible pathway to be creative, open their minds and express their feelings whilst being in a safe environment,” business manager Laura Little said.
“With the use of virtual reality technology, Impact Youth Hub is focused on reengaging youth back into the Katherine Community.”
Ms Little said the aim of the space was to support young people in the community to make changes in their lives.
“We have two youth workers to mentor and guide young people to overcoming their barriers that impact on their ability to engage in day to day activities,” Ms Little said.
“Through addressing these barriers our aim is to have young people either attending school, alternative learning programs or employment.
“If you have a young person in mind or a group that would benefit from our hub, please feel -free to come in and meet with our team.”
