Northern Territory Police have charged two men, aged 38 and 47, following a cannabis seizure in Alice Springs.

“Following an ongoing investigation into the supply of cannabis in the community, police executed two search warrants at a residence in Gillen and a residence in Connellan.” Detective Senior Constable Tim Healey said.
“More than 17 kilograms of cannabis was seized along with a small amount of methamphetamine.
“Police will allege the pair were involved in syndicate that transported cannabis from South Australia to Alice Springs.”
They were charged with multiple drug offences including possession and supply of a commercial quantity of a schedule two drug.
They are to appear in Alice Springs local court.
“If sold in the community this cannabis haul could fetch up to $850,000” Detective Senior Constable Healey said.
