This is a first time for all ladies players and they are having a great time.
There are four games to go for their mini competition.
Any one is welcome to come down and play on a Friday night.
Sharon Jennings has been the driving force behind the ladies competition and as rugby union is held traditionally during the wet season in Katherine it is a great opportunity to get out and about and play some sport in the off season.
This is the beginning of a new era of Rugby Union in Katherine and organisers say next season looks to be bigger and better.
The men’s competition grand final will be played this Friday at 7pm at the Town Oval.
