Commissioner Mark Ferguson, a former Katherine St John volunteer, presented Kate McTaggart, Taitt Green and Brodie Stubbs Commissioners Badges - the highest award any junior can achieve within the St John Ambulance Volunteers.
It is awarded to juniors who have earned nine Interest Badges, which typically takes more than thee years of consistent, hard work to accumulate.
In total, seven juniors were awarded a number of certificates and badges at the ceremony.
Commissioner Mark Ferguson encouraged the juniors who will be stepping up to cadets in 2020 to consider participating in the annual cadet competitions, either as a team or as an individual.
And acknowledged the parents who support the juniors, week in, week out by bringing them to their meetings each week, and who drop off and collect them from their public duties.
Superintendent Rhys Dowell was presented with a Service Medal of the Order of St John which recognises 12 years of efficient service with St John Ambulance Volunteers.
"Rhys commenced as a cadet in Katherine and then took a Divisional Officer role with cadets when he graduated from being a cadet himself," divisional officer and junior cadet teacher Ron Green said.
"From there Rhys' dedication over time resulted in him being promoted to Superintendent over all St John Ambulance volunteers in the Katherine Division in 2016."
Commissioner Ferguson also farewelled long-term St John volunteer Leeanne Stubbs, and her son Brodie, who will be leaving Katherine at the end of the year.
"Leeanne has served the community of Katherine through St John for over 14 years.
"We are very proud of the achievements of our juniors, it is very rewarding to see these young people grow in confidence with basic first aid skills which may save someone's life one day. We look forward to another successful year in 2020." Mr Green said.
