Early Childhood Australia NT Branch Alice Springs & Central Australia Community Services & Development Child Welfare, Youth & Family Services Contract/Temp   About Us Early Childhood Australia, NT is the Northern Territory Inclusion Agency (NT-IA).  The NT-IA receives Australian Government funding to operate across the Northern Territory as part of the Inclusion Support Program (ISP). As an Inclusion Professional you will have the opportunity to live and work in Alice Springs while travelling to remote communities to support Early Childhood Education & Care settings in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. We offer a commitment to continuous training and development, flexible work hours, great workplace culture and strengths-based environment.  This position is full-time 5 days per week (37.5 hours), Monday-Friday, fixed-term until 30 June 2023 with possibility of extension.  As a member of the Early Childhood Australia NT, Inclusion Agency Alice Springs team you will:

• work directly with services and stakeholders to deliver inclusion support to ECEC services, educators and parents
• work to promote an understanding of inclusion, which focuses on all children being seen as capable and contributing in their environment
• work closely with other NT IA Inclusion Professionals team to deliver support in the ECEC sector, which is flexible and responsive to needs and in accordance with ISP Guidelines.

About you Travel within this role is regular and often overnight, including to remote communities, by 4WD or light aircraft. You must have the flexibility to undertake this as a normal part of this role. You will have demonstrated experience and knowledge of inclusive practice in relation to all children and a high level of competence in working across cultural contexts, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and with culturally and linguistically diverse ECEC educators. It is important that you have the ability to facilitate change through the use of reflective practice and a strength based approach and are comfortable and competent with using databases and learning new technologies. Demonstrated experience in remote travel, including driving on sealed and unsealed roads will be highly regarded. You may also be required to attend events outside normal working hours.  The must have’s

• Full COVID-19 vaccination status and commitment to maintain booster vaccinations as required by Government directions.
• Current manual drivers licence and a comprehensively insured and registered motor vehicle
• Tertiary qualification in education or early childhood (early/middle childhood) with relevant sector experience
• Current first aid certificate

A National Police Check will be conducted prior to commencement and a current Ochre card must be held for the entire duration of employment with Early Childhood Australia.
