The NT-IA receives Australian Government funding to operate across the Northern Territory as part of the Inclusion Support Program (ISP). As an Inclusion Professional you will have the opportunity to live and work in Alice Springs while travelling to remote communities to support Early Childhood Education & Care settings in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. This position is full-time 5 days per week (37.5 hours), Monday-Friday, fixed-term until 30 June 2023 with possibility of extension. About you Travel within this role is regular and often overnight, including to remote communities, by 4WD or light aircraft. You must have the flexibility to undertake this as a normal part of this role. You will have demonstrated experience and knowledge of inclusive practice in relation to all children and a high level of competence in working across cultural contexts, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and with culturally and linguistically diverse ECEC educators. It is important that you have the ability to facilitate change through the use of reflective practice and a strength based approach and are comfortable and competent with using databases and learning new technologies. Demonstrated experience in remote travel, including driving on sealed and unsealed roads will be highly regarded. You may also be required to attend events outside normal working hours.
