Northern Territory Correctional Services has an important role in our justice system – to supervise and rehabilitate prisoners in custody, and offenders under supervision in our communities.
As a Trainee Correctional Officer, your role will be dynamic and challenging. You will help make our communities safer by supporting and mentoring prisoners to become responsible community members when they leave custody. You will help deliver services that enable prisoners to improve their lives and successfully reintegrate back into the community.

To be considered for this opportunity you must:
Salary - 12 Month Training Program
As a Trainee Correctional Officer, you will undertake an 11-week paid training program that will give you the skills and knowledge to support the safety and security of our correctional centres, staff, visitors and prisoners. You will also undertake a 12 month nationally accredited qualification CSC30120 Certificate III in Correctional Practice.
Successful completion of the 12 month contract/program may result in an offer of ongoing employment, under probation with NTCS.
