After spits of rain early on Saturday afternoon caused minor panic for the 26 debutantes, the event went off without a hitch, with family members and friends joining the women and their partners to dance the night away.
Organiser Jodie Locke said the Katherine Museum had been transformed for the “fabulous night”.
“It was just amazing,” she said.
“Holly came and visited which was really nice, the kids loved that.
“[The ball] was to give the kids a sense of community and allow them to feel they belong to the town.”
