Included in this year’s show events are the campdraft, dressage, showjumping, led, riden and hack, and several novelty events such as the Ride/Drive Spectacular and the Mounted Games Demonstration.
Dressage will continue tomorrow making way for the led, riden and hack classes as well as Australian stock horses.
The stock horses will be in the running for the NT Ash Bred Award. The points for this award are taken as the highest aggregate from the led, hack and working section of the ASH show.
Ring events will continue into Thursday and Friday before beginning to make way for other show events across the official show days.
Ticket holders will be given a great show as competitors in the showjumping take to the rings on Friday afternoon, followed by the energy and speed of the barrel, racing, figure eight and flag races on Saturday morning.
Don’t forget there will also be plenty of horse action with the Katherine campdraft which features more than $10,000 in prize money across the events.
The campdraft begins with junior events tomorrow and continues through to the finals in the maiden, novice and open events on Friday.
