Katherine Police have charged a 34-year-old female and a 37-year-old male with drug offences following a traffic apprehension early yesterday morning.

Officer in Charge Sen Sgt Dave Hamlyn said the vehicle was apprehended on Emungulan Road and was subjected to a search.
“During the search officers allegedly located two clip seal bags containing a total of 10 grams of methamphetamine.”
Both were remanded in custody to appear in the Katherine Local Court today.
“Police will continue to target people who choose to supply dangerous drugs to our community,” Sen Sgt Dave Hamlyn said.
“Drugs cause significant harm to people’s lives and families. We will not tolerate those who exploit others for financial gain.”
The female was charged with:
- Possession of a trafficable quantity of a Dangerous Drug
- Supply a Dangerous Drug
- Breach of Bail
The male was charged with:
- Possess and supply a traffickable quantity of a dangerous drug
- Traffic offences.
Katherine police also seized a smorgasbord of drugs in February and more than $200,000 of cannabis in June.
