Down on numbers and struck with injuries the Hawks girls performed credibly on Saturday in Darwin to go down to Nightcliff by 10 points.
Hawks 6.2 (38) lost to Nightcliff 6.12 (48).
In the boys game, The Hawks gave away too big a lead in the first quarter and could not make it up.
Big River Hawks 1.1 (7) 3.1 (19) 4.1 (25) 5.2 (32) lost to Southern Districts 2.4 (16) 5.6 (36) 5.12 (42) 7.14 (56).
This weekend the Hawks travel away again, this time taking on Waratah in Darwin on Saturday.
Meanwhile, the newly formed NT Thunder Academy is seeking expressions of interest for a variety of roles in our different NT Regional Talent Academies including Katherine.
The key aspect of the roles will involve talent development of identified participants in the Regional Academy teams by assisting and delivering training sessions.
These roles will also have the capacity to be involved with the respective NT Thunder Academy teams.
