Sponsored by the Department of Local Government these awards recognise personal achievements and community contribution by individuals and groups.
Citizen (31 Years and over) of the Year and Young Citizen of the Year (30 years and under) Awards recognise personal endeavours, achievements and community contributions from individuals.
Community Event of the Year Award recognises the achievement of a group or entire community. It may be a specific community project or the continuous work of a local organisation.
Katherine is home to so many great people and community organisation doing amazing things.
If there is a person or event that you believe is deserving of recognition for their efforts in 2017 now is your chance to nominate them.
The winning nominations will be determined by the Mayor and Alderman of Katherine Town Council and will be awarded at the 2018 Australia Day Citizenship Ceremony on January 26.
To nominate complete and return a nomination form to Katherine Town Council by January 12, 2018. Nominations forms are available at the Civic Centre, Visitor Information Centre and Library, or download a copy from the Katherine Town Council website www.ktc.nt.gov.au or email records@ktc.nt.gov.au to request a copy of the forms.
