The community camp will be held between February 15-18 in Katherine.
The Hawks are forging a strong bond with Katherine after a visit from their high profile coach Alistair Clarkson recently.
Hawks star forward and NT talent Cyril Rioli is a favourite of Katherine fans.
The Hawks say a small group of players will travel here from February 15-18, “continuing the important work with Aboriginal communities the club has maintained over several years”.
Hawthorn, Collingwood and Melbourne Football Clubs will also be travelling to the Northern Territory in 2018 for their AFL Community Camps.
The Collingwood Football Club is heading to Tennant Creek in the Barkly region from February 4 - 8.
Melbourne Football Club is going to Alice Springs on February 22 and 23.
AFL general manager game development, Andrew Dillon, said the AFL Community Camps are an essential part of the AFL calendar which recognises the importance of grassroots football and the community in Australia’s game.
“The AFL Community Camps allow us to give back to the community for their love and support of our game,” Mr Dillon said.
“The AFL Community Camps are a great opportunity for fans to have access to their favourite players, regardless of how far they live.”
During the 2017 AFL Community camps, 120,363 school students had visits from AFL players with 742 schools being visited. 6070 children participated in AFL super clinics, 2,668 people were visited in aged care/hospitals and funds were raised through official functions to assist local junior community football programs.
The AFL Community Camps started in 2003 and AFLNT is pleased to support the visits to the NT.
