Word on the street is there will be a good crowd for the release of this latest Star Wars’ movie.
A cinema spokeswoman said so many pre-sale tickets had been sold two cinemas would be opened for the first show and it was likely The Last Jedi would be on two screens as well.
“Some people get dressed up for the night, it’s a lot of fun,” the spokeswoman said.
Katherine Cinema Three will be showing “The Force Awakens” from 8.30pm as a warm up for the main event.
There has already been high praise leaked on this latest instalment which features the original Luke Skywalker, Mark Hamill.
While the world premiere was held on Saturday the actual world-wide release is being held simultaneously so Australia can show the movie, as Katherine is, tonight at 12.01am.
