Police charge man with Katherine assault

SUNDAY ASSAULT: Police have caught the man they believe responsible for an assault in Katherine on the weekend.

A 29-year-old man has been charged with a string of offences after allegedly bashing someone in Katherine on Sunday night. 

Sebastian Roddenby has been charged with meth possession, two counts of assault, four breaches of a domestic violence order as well as traffic offences. 

Mr Roddenby was allegedly on bail at the time of the assault.

Police issued a statement today saying they would like to thank members of the public for their assistance.

Mr Roddenby was due to appear in Katherine court today charged with: 

·        4 x breach of domestic violence order

·        2 x aggravated assault

·        Make a threat to kill a person

·        2 x drive unlicensed

·        Child 4 to 7-years-old not restrained properly

·        Passes schedule 1 public place.

He is due to appear in court again on Monday.
