Vicki Burn has shared her picture of Pearce Street where she lived in 1998.
“It is of my husband Dean, daughter Trudi and a WA truck driver Steve Ward who we found stranded and wandering around not knowing where to go,” Vicki writes.
“He stayed with us for over a week till his company could fly him home.
“We get a card every Christmas still from his family.
“The dogs ended up on our friend’s ute after swimming in with the flood waters.
“This photo, once shown on television, reunited the dogs with their owners. Was a very trying time but many strong friendships made over flood time.”
Thanks Vicki.
