The Bureau of Meteorology yesterday issued a final flood warning for the river.
Rainfall totals of between 40 - 80mm were recorded throughout the Waterhouse River catchment during Friday and Saturday and river levels rose in response.
Katherine has recorded a total of 130mm of rain since Friday.
River levels are now easing in the Waterhouse River.
No further flooding is expected in the Waterhouse River.
The Waterhouse River at Beswick Bridge peaked at 7.76 metres around 3pm on Saturday
The minor flood level is 7.70m.
