The NT Government is reminding Territorians to get their applications in for the Community Benefit Fund Grants before close of business this Friday.
The Attorney-General Natasha Fyles said this will be the final round of grants under the current system with planned changes and improvements ahead.
“These grants started in 2002 and are funded by a levy on gaming machines.”
Minister Fyles said an announcement around a more rigorous and robust system to administer the CBF is expected in the coming months.
“We recognise that organisations still need access to this funding while improvements are being made and opened a special round of Small and Major Grants in February,” she said.
The round will be open until March 16, with notification planned for May 2018.
“Territorians want safe and vibrant communities and the CBF grants offer vital one-off support to organisations that help to provide that.
“CBF grants help not-for-profit groups access the infrastructure and equipment they need to deliver vital community based programs across the Top End and Central Australia.”
