Thirty-four decisive guests that secured their places at the table within 48 hours of event release took home lasting memories of their visit to Katherine.
Hosts Mark Olive – Australia’s leading Indigenous Chef - and Jeremy Oliver – one of Australia’s foremost wine critics - accompanied the guests on a gastronomical journey across 5 of Australia’s premier Food and Wine regions.
As the sunset and champagne flowed, a heartfelt Welcome to Country by Lisa Mumbin, chairperson of Nitmiluk Tours and the Jawoyn Association, set the tone of an extremely unique event.
With the backdrop of the natural and cultural splendor of Nitmiluk Gorge, experienced from land, water and the air, the service and comfort of Cicada, the expectations of the guests were satisfied on every level.
“I am extremely proud of the tireless efforts of the team - lead by our extraordinary F&B Manager Brian Linklater- involved in the vision and delivery of this landmark event” said Sveva Falletto, Chief Operating Officer of Nitmiluk and Cicada Lodge.
“This journey of the palate is a testament to what the Top End can deliver and clearly demonstrates the appetite for experiences of this nature.
“Judging by the number of guests eager to know when the next event will be, the team are already excited about planning another unique journey for later in the year.”
Cicada Lodge and Nitmiluk are committed to continuing to offer Food and Wine journeys in the unique cultural and natural settings of the Top End.
