A production team will be in Katherine area in the next few weeks shooting the movie.
Katherine has been chosen as one of the locations for Top End Wedding, co-written by well-known NT actor Miranda Tapsell.
Filming of the movie will shift across four Top End locations including Darwin, Tiwi Islands, Kakadu and Katherine this month.
Producers are on the lookout for 15 extras (playing tourists) on Thursday, May 17 for 10 hours.
They also want seven extras (again playing tourists) the following day, May 18, for 8 hours.
Both scenes are at Nitmiluk Gorge, and these will be paid extras positions, co-producer Liam Heyen said.
Anyone interested can email Mr Heyen at liam@goalpostpictures.com, and he will need expressions of interest no later than Wednesday, May 9.
The producers are looking for a 50/50 mix of genders, and a range of ages, 18 and older.
“Need to be up for long days out in the Gorge, with early starts,” Mr Heyen said.
Top End Wedding is a comedy is the story of successful Sydney lawyer, Lauren (Miranda), and her fiancée Ned.
Engaged and in love, they have just 10 days to find Lauren's mother who has gone missing in the NT.
The feature film co-written by and starring Miranda Tapsell, co-written by Joshua Tyler and directed by Wayne Blair, had secured funding support from Screen Australia.
Top End Wedding has received support from the South Australian Film Corporation and Tourism NT.

Northern Territory Chief Minister, Michael Gunner said: “The NT Government is very pleased to help bring the Top End Wedding movie concept to reality. Our support is a sign of our belief that the movie will showcase Australia’s most magnificent scenery to a global audience.”
