DRV4LYF Driving School aims to teach learner drivers the skills and knowledge needed to become good drivers and help reduce the appalling Territory road statistics.
Located in the town of Katherine, DRV4LYF Driving School is Katherine's oldest driving school.
Started by husband and wife duo Christopher and Pamela Dixon in 2007 the business began after their son's friend tragically lost his life in a road accident.
We wanted to start a driving school to teach young drivers about the dangers of fatigue, distractions, drugs and alcohol
- Christopher Dixon
Christopher said DRV4LYF aims to teach people the skills needed to successfully drive for life so they become defensive, not risk taking drivers.
“We wanted to start a driving school to teach young drivers about the dangers of fatigue, distractions, drugs and alcohol,” Christopher said.
“We particularly want to target younger learners before they practise risky driving behaviours so that they may live long and fulfilled lives.”
Now in their eleventh year, the business has been teaching people to drive in airconditioned, dual control manual and automatic cars with monthly motorcycle lessons now available as well.

Their ideas were turned into reality by the talented Mark Parker of Katherine Sign Management.
Now the signs on the cars are also used as training aids.
