The Kalano Bombers have forfeited tonight’s WorkSafe BRFL clash against Tindal Magpies at the base oval.
The Bombers have lost a number of players who are waiting tribunal appearances following a melee at the BRFL game last Friday night against Katherine Camels.
AFL NT has employed independent investigators to probe the wild scenes which followed the end of last week’s match where players and spectators were involved in fighting.
Video evidence has already been used for the laying of 18 charges against five players as a result of the brawl.
The charges came from incidents in the final quarter of the spiteful game between Kalano Bombers and Katherine Camels at Nitmiluk Oval last Friday night.
The fight continued after the NT WorkSafe BRFL game and involved spectators.
A Katherine-based match review panel has reviewed the incidents after official complaints were made about the game.
A spokeswoman for AFL NT said based on the video evidence available, five players have been issued a total of 18 charges.
The investigation continues.
