Saturday saw round 5 of the Katherine Softball competition with the first game between Rebels and Arnhem Crows.

Crows batted first and brought in one run while Rebels were unable to score with Crows pitcher Veronica Moreen working hard on the mound.
In the second inning, Crows were unable to score with Rebels managing to bring in 5 runs thanks in part to a 2 base hit to Georgia Armitage.
In the third inning Crows go on the bat bringing in 6 runs giving them a 2 run lead over Rebels with strong batting from Susie Katherine but Rebels came back firing to bring in 7 more runs.
The Crows’ last bat of the game saw them bring in 1 more run of the safe hit of Lana Broome but it was Rebels who took the game with final scores Rebels 12 to Arnhem Crows 8.
Best on ground for Rebels was Georgia Armitage with a perfect 1000 batting average along with Kaillee Brown and Keisha Anderson.
In the second game Wanderers was up against Rockers.
Wanderers batted first and went to work bringing in 8 runs with a 2 base hit to Skye Kelly.
Rockers first bat of the game also saw then go to working bring in six runs with a 2 base hit to Jade Peckham.
Both team played great softball with Wanderers only able to score 1 more 1 and Rockers coming back with 3 more runs in the fourth inning bring the score to 9 all.
Wanderers weren't able to hold Rockers out in the last inning with Rockers coming away winners Rockers 11 to Wanderers 9.
Best on ground for Rockers was Ani Macskimin with a perfect 1000 batting average and Jade Peckham and Peta Ross also shone on the field while for Wanderers Anne Manfong, Keely AhChin and Kerry Scrutton played well.
This weekend the first game at 11am will be between Rebels and Wanderers then the second game at 12.40 between Arnhem Crows and Rockers
