The Katherine men’s shed has established a brother site at the Rocky Ridge Nursing Home to get some of the residents into more activities.
The men’s shed steering committee is looking into running some training activities at Rocky Ridge and encouraging the men to get back to traditional arts and crafts.
They also plan to decorate the outside space for the residents to enjoy.
The traditional BBQ, held on National Sorry Day, over the weekend was just one of the first steps in establishing a strong connection between the nursing home and the men’s shed.
