Katherine High School this week released a survey asking the Katherine community for their opinions about the school’s values - Trust, Honest and Respect.
The school wants to know if these values reflect what the Katherine community finds necessary in the community’s young people.
Vote for four.
A letter has gone out to parents this week from new acting principal Daniel Murtas wanting to set a course for the future of the school.
“School values are the key principles, morals and ethics we are trying to instill in our young people to be good learners and good citizens,” Mr Murtas wrote.
Most schools have between 3 – 5 values as their key focus areas.
During the term students were asked by the Student Leadership Committee to suggest a range of values they would like to see acknowledged in an informal vote.
