Season 11 is set to be as challenging as ever and producers are keen to have Territorians in the kitchen.
“We were fortunate this season to take MasterChef on the road to the Northern Territory, filming a challenge with the Prince of Wales,” executive producer Marty Benson said.
“We were so impressed by the calibre of local food and produce, and for season 11 we would love to see local residents showcase their skills in the MasterChef kitchen.”
If you can whip up innovative dishes sure to blow the judges away, then you are in with a chance.
“It is often those who are somewhat TV shy or unsure of their level of cooking who make it through the audition process,” producers said.
As of yet, the NT has not generated a MasterChef winner.
Katherine’s own Lynton Tapp was famously runner up in Masterchef Australia 2013 series.
But producers are hoping a local cook can go one better.
Casting is now underway for the Logie Award-winning series, which attracts millions of viewers.
Judges will be not only be looking for skill, but also enthusiasm, drive, love of food and a desire to change your life.
Applications close midnight, Friday, August 10.
