One thousand little plastic crocs will battle it out to raise funds for a new school sensory garden.
Just like last year, the event will be held at the Low Level Bridge.
And the school is hoping to raise more than $10,000.
“It is important for all children to see, listen, touch and enjoy a variety of sensory experiences,” Kintore teacher Di Dorfler said.
“The kids are going to be able to interact with each other and the garden.
“There will be musical instruments, leaves to scrunch and smell, rabbits – we have a whole pile of ideas, but final plans haven’t been decided yet.
“The garden is about creating an outside learning space as well.”
The school and volunteers have been busy selling the $10 crocodiles at the Saturday markets and Woolworths Complex.
Of the 1000 crocs initially for sale, there are now very limited numbers, Ms Dorfler said, so you’ll need to get in quick to be in the race.
The first race kicks of at 10am.
And the first crocodile over the finish line snaps up a prize of $1000.
Races will continue until early afternoon and there will also be face painting, a BBQ, a jumping castle, netball games, and much more for everyone to get involved.
